Negative experience: I hired Robinson Detective Agency LLC in 2025 to assist me with locating someone. In the beginning, communication was very responsive. The investigator outlined a plan and gave me the impression that my case would be actively pursued. Unfortunately, my experience became very different after that. The information that was provided to me was largely information I had already found myself through Whitepages for about $20. There did not appear to be meaningful new information or progress beyond what I had already located on my own. Communication was also a major issue. I was repeatedly told that I would receive a follow-up by a specific day or time, but those follow-ups often did not happen. I found myself having to repeatedly reach out and chase down updates regarding my own case. By September 2025, I was told that another case needed to be finished and that my case would then be prioritized. After that conversation I never heard back. It has now been well over a year since I initially hired the agency and I never received the follow-up or communication I was promised. Based on my personal experience I found the communication and professionalism disappointing particularly given the nature and importance of the case. I would not recommend Robinson Detective Agency LLC based on my experience.

Negative experience: I hired and prepaid this investigator for a serious case involving a death. At the outset, he was extremely responsive and outlined detailed charges for case analysis, interviews, follow-up analysis, and written transcripts. Based on the amount prepaid, he stated he would be able to “produce a complete case analysis to the DA wrapped up in a nice bow.” After the initial case analysis and one interview, progress slowed significantly. When I checked in a few months later, I was told he was busy with another case but would soon be available. Two additional interviews were completed by September 12. After that, communication became inconsistent. By October, phone calls and emails were not being returned. After repeated attempts, he agreed to meet in person. I expressed concern about the lack of progress and requested a 50% refund so we could part ways. He assured me he wanted to complete the case and provided his personal cell phone number, stating he would always answer. Unfortunately, communication issues resumed. By December, I was informed that no meaningful progress had been made. Calls again went unanswered. In early January, I gave a deadline requesting communication, or I would consult an attorney. Three days after the deadline passed, I received an email stating he was terminating the agreement and that no refund would be issued. I prepaid for services that were not completed and experienced extended periods without updates or returned communication. Given the seriousness of the matter, this was deeply disappointing. I would leave ZERO stars, if possible.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome agency!! He quickly and thoroughly assisted in a case for me. Trustworthy and honesty go a long way in today’s time.
