Experiencia negativa: PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL THIEF!,gave him 1k dollars for my case and did nothing, I had better luck doing my own search after I saw he was not providing what he promised,he has no shame whatsoever and did not refund my money. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS INDIVIDUAL consider this your fair WARNING!!

Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your money on this man. He charges you and will not perform what he says he will. Later ; his excuse will be “I was on standby” he charged me $1000 to bring two witnesses to my trial and failed to do so. I got convicted and sent to prison. I appealed and won. So now that I am out, I was able to finally write this review. Had he done his job; I would have never been convicted in the first place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SAM STREEP.

Experiencia negativa: Find someone else if you are looking for someone to actually do investigatory work. Do NOT pay money up front for a deposit because if Mr. Streep fails to perform the services agreed, the deposit is "non-refundable" (whether he performs the service or not). 1) Mr. Streep charges 500.00 per person to prepare a "dossier". This "dossier" is nothing more than the exact same report you can pull up on line for 39.99 which shows an individuals past addresses, past phone numbers, any licenses they hold, and shows everything else which is part of the public record and can be garnered online without the services of a PI. This is not used to conduct an investigation, he does not interpret the findings of that report, nor does he make any recommendations or seek to make any cohesive connections using that report. It takes less than 3 minutes to print. He printed one of the three "dossiers" we ordered in front of us as we sat in his office. This is not what one might expect from a seasoned, licensed private investigator, so just be aware that what you are asking for and need may not be what you are going to end up with. He hands you this print out, and that's it. The 1500.00 was paid and earned when he hit print. a) He's not very thorough. b) He went from highly responsive to email and phone calls before being hired, to completely unavailable afterwards. c) His commitment to timely performance was below what you'd think was a bare minimum. He promised us this in 72 hours (giving me the impression he was going to do something with this other than hand it to me) and I got the reports 10 days later, and even then only because I sent someone to his office with no appointment to wait there for it. 2) More disconcerting is the fact that when he was given the entire up front payment of 3000.00, didn't perform the agreed upon services and refused to return the unused portion of that payment. Aside from the three "dossiers" for 1500.00, he agreed to do an asset search for 1500.00. He said he had a "specialist" in the office who was out of town, but that he would work on it and provide a report. Almost 3 weeks later, I'd received nothing. When I finally got him on the phone to ask what was going on, he said he had done the search and "come up with nothing". There was no report showing what research he had done or where/how this search with yielded "nothing" was conducted. In fact, there was no search, because a simple entry into Google shows at least some assets, none of which the "specialist" found. This tells me that either the specialist does not know how to search the public record or Google a name (in which case he should not be charging 1500 to do investigatory work) or he never got around to looking and just said he looked and found nothing. I suspect it's the latter. I told Mr. Streep some of what I was looking for I came up with by Googling. He said he would "keep looking" and I never heard from him again. In any event, I ended up having to hire another firm to do the asset search and thanked Mr. Streep for his efforts. It was obvious he didn't have time to look into the asset search, so I asked him to refund the unused portion of the 3000.00 upfront payment. He said that the "retainer was non-refundable". I had no problem paying him 1500.00 for the three printouts because it's what we agreed and he never specified what was included with his "dossier". Since I didn't get anything in writing, that loss was mine to bear. But to take 1500 for an asset investigation that was never conducted and keep the money anyway? The money is lost and I got what I needed from another reputable El Paso firm. I find it baffling that a licensed professional can operate like this for years , without a single review to put the general public on notice before hiring such an individual. Those who still wish to proceed and use Sam Streep, should proceed with caution. You really may want to look into some other options.
