I got the completed return of service by another professional process server that actually did his job. In response to business owner: Incorrect, it was accepted by the court and pre-trail is set. So yes, the roommate can be served on behalf of the defendant. Thanks again for wasting my time and money.

They found his new address and when the paperwork was served the person there said he moved out 3 days prior. The service did deliver what they said they would, which is up to 4 visits, but after the the first they sent a receipt letting me know they moved. Affidavit of non-service.
