Negative experience: I attempted to resolve this privately through email first, but I received a run around with my questions & felt very dismissed. So, I felt I needed to make a public post on my experience. I will start off by saying, my wedding was safe, thankfully, and the 2 off duty police officers did a great job & if my concerns reached them, I hope they are aware it is not on them at all, but on the communication apart from them. They were punctual, kind, and accommodating. For that portion of my review, I give 5 stars. The frustrating communication is what was lacking. When I first called I was told I’d receive further information within a couple hours, I never received anything. I had to call back again a couple of days later to finally receive the needed information. I was informed by my day of wedding coordinator, who has worked with this company multiple times, that per request the hired staff can wear civilian clothing. I made this request, due to the sensitivity of the safety concern & wanting things to be discreet, and I never received a response back. I made the incorrect assumption that was fine & communicated to the officers. They did not have on civilian clothing the day of my wedding & were in full uniforms, which was distressing for guests. Post my wedding, after having to ask 2 separate times to explain why they weren’t in civilian clothing I was informed that it is an added cost. If that had been communicated at the start, this issue would have been resolved quickly and I would have paid the added price. I was also required to hire 2 staff by the company due to the severity of the potential safety threat. When the officers arrived, they had not been briefed on the situation & I was asked literally minutes before walking down the aisle to explain the situation. The situation is a very sensitive topic and one I did not want to discuss the day of my wedding, especially minutes from walking down the aisle. This was baffling because if the threat is serious enough to require 2 staff, why not brief them before arriving? I was told it was because I didn’t send in a photo of the person they were watching out for & they followed alternate protocol, which were my instructions, to ask me. I was not asked by the company to send in a photo that I can locate & I also cannot locate those instructions they said I gave. I did send the photo to my day of venue coordinator, who did request it, and I gave the company her contact information. I would have assumed when they touched base, that would have then been provided. I have asked the company accounting specialist, Laurel, to provide me the communication where they requested the photo & for the alternate protocol instructions to speak to me, 3 times now, and she still has not provided it. Also, what was discussed with this same lady, is 1 off duty police officer & 1 security guard, which I have records of & I have sent her. I will admit I responded back with the go ahead & mis-typed for 2 officers instead of 1 officer & 1 security. I wish that discrepancy had been inquired about as I did not catch that on the invoice & ultimately, the original plan was changed to 2 officers. I will take accountability on my mis-type for that. My perspective is Laurel was dismissive & simply did not answer my questions unless I asked 2-3 times, and still some are left unanswered. For my needs of staffing to keep my wedding safe, this company did a great job, for the communication, I’m disappointed & for that I wouldn’t recommend.

However, we surprisingly wanted to remove ourselves from the venue & all five officers safely assisted us with this unexpected transition. All five officers professionally escorted us to the vehicles & safely secured us all. We were safely driven to our drop-off locations with no hiccups all night.
