Negative experience: I am leaving this review after a recent encounter with a New Zealand–based private investigation firm that approached me on behalf of GOLIATH VENTURES INC — a company now under investigation by multiple U.S. government agencies and believed to have stolen between $300–$500 million from everyday “mum and dad” investors. Instead of distancing themselves from an alleged large-scale Ponzi operation, this PI firm attempted to negotiate an off-camera “deal” on behalf of Christopher Delgado, the individual at the centre of the GOLIATH VENTURES collapse. To be clear: approaching a journalist on behalf of a company under active investigation is one thing. Turning up uninvited, attempting to broker a private agreement, and doing so while representing a firm linked to an alleged fraud of this magnitude raises serious ethical concerns. For transparency: I am an investigative journalist who has spent years exposing major Ponzi schemes and crypto frauds. My work has been featured in the BLOOMBERG crypto documentary, the New York Times, and The Guardian. Channel 9 News Australia has publicly described me as Australia and New Zealand’s biggest scam fighter. I expose scams — I don’t negotiate with them. Any private investigation company willing to work with, defend, or attempt to “negotiate” on behalf of a corporate entity currently being examined by federal agencies does not inspire trust. New Zealanders deserve to know who is aligning themselves with alleged international fraudsters. If you have further information or have had dealings with this PI firm in connection to GOLIATH VENTURES INC or any other questionable operation, I welcome you to come forward. Transparency protects the public — silence protects the scammers.

I didn’t know the legal requirements or how to get my money back. I didn’t even know if it would be possible to get my money back at all.
