Negative experience: I paid to have two devices swept for suspicious activity/ access by someone. The work took perhaps the best part of 1hour by an offshore remote IT expert who seemed to conduct a brief search of my phone and PC for malware, which luckily seemed to reveal no suspicious activity, although I am yet to receive a formal response or report. Hopefully that will come. I was not expecting the work to be so brief. I had very limited investigative advice or feedback once I paid the invoice. I came to this company not as a perpetrator or spouse keen to 'bust' the other spouse, but as a victim of domestic violence who is desperate to protect my private files and phone being tracked by my abuser. I needed careful strategic advice about how best to spend any available money and I did not receive any care or empathy in this regard. The response I received when I tried to give honest and diplomatic feedback over the phone was dismissive and lacking suggestions for my best way forward. This company seems to operate also under "SpouseBusters".

Fantastic experience: I was needing clarification about my former partner when i had suspicions about him having an affair. He moved out on a wednesday evening and said he was going to stay in a hotel, so due to my suspicions about his where abouts I approached Sydney Private Investigations on the Thursday and by Friday afternoon I had exact location of the address and name of the other women he had moved in with. I was provided with footage and photos immediately which confirmed my suspicions. I was so impressed with how fast i was provided with all this information and the agents correspondence with me was outstanding. The fee was very affordable in comparison to other companies I had inquired with and I have recommended friends who have since used their services. Fantastic experience: My girlfriend was staying in prestigious hotel in Sydney for business and I suspected she was meeting someone from New Zealand. I found these guys on google and wasn’t sure what to do. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable and came up with a strategy which they implemented without fault. They captured footage of my girlfriend at the hotel entering and leaving the room together, having drinks and dinner together and later on in the evening being intimate together. They relayed the information straight back to me Italy on the night as it was happening via WhatsApp so I knew exactly what was going on. Although it was hard to take it was good to know the truth. COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns made things bit difficult, however SPI stayed true to agreement and still got things done within proposed deadline. Fantastic experience: I contacted SPI from the UK after trawling the internet (I wanted to trace someone I hadn't had contact with for approx. 40 years), reading reviews etc. My first contact had a quick response. Once the financial terms were agreed I sent the information and within 2 days I had the answer I was looking for. What more could I ask for. Excellent service together with an excellent result. I have no problem recommending SPI to anyone.

Negative experience: Useless. Completely useless. They couldn't find someone with their address. You are better off burning the money. Since I can't respond to their response, I have to edit myreview. I provided photos of less than 2 years old and a LinkedIn profile. A total lack of research on SPI's part was clear. Never was there anything other than requests more money for nothing returned.

Fantastic experience: I have used this firm twice for very different reasons. Of course I used them the second time because of the success and caring I received the first time. The first was surveillance to find the location of a stolen family pet. Once the photographic evidence was obtained and the location confirmed, the police were called and the person was subsequently charged with a number of threats and our girl was brought home safe. The second issue was after meeting what appeared to be a perfectly normal accountant on an online dating website, after a month I said I didn't want to see the person anymore and that's when the months of terror and horror for me started. They were stalking, harassing me and home and work - completely defaced my car, every single panel and all the tyres slashed over at a least a dozen planned attacks. It was costing me tens of thousands in unrecoverable damage and lost time at work, not to mention my mental health The police repeatedly told me after each attack that without CCTV footage or other evidence (that I must obtain) they could not help. This was rather a shock to me at first and I had nowhere else to turn. After contacting Sydney PI not only did I get professional advice and equipment I could use to protect myself, I found someone who understood the predicament I was facing and cared. My friends and family could not believe the police could not help and this seemed really strange ... it did to me to, but after 7 different police reports in total it became clear unless I could produce "evidence" nothing would be done. Thanks to Sydney PI I actually gained some confidence back and felt back in control to some extent after feeling like i was spiraling out of control and vulnerable for months. It was directly due to their support I was able to finally deliver police photo evidence and catch the person red handed. Although he denied it and plead innocent at first, it became clear after his lawyer had seen all the witness statements and clear photographic evidence there was nowhere to go. He pleaded guilty to all counts saving everyone a long trial and further time off work and costs. Then the worst moment I think came, in court it was revealed this person had a history of violent crime against his previous wives, with grievous bodily harm convictions and other REALLY scary stuff. Since then I have learned that my situation is really common. The onus is on the victim to get evidence and the police just don't have the resources to protect you from 'random' attacks like this. I also know that you can use a service like Sydney PI to check people out before you start seeing them - and had I have done so I would have known the truth earlier and run for the hills! it had never occurred to me to do this before. It does now. Could not recommend this group more highly.

Fantastic experience: After a few months of speculation and a gut feeling I couldn't shake about my partner, I decided to spend some money and get a PI agency onto it; to see if they could get some proof to either confirm or put to rest my suspicions. Of course I was nervous to take the plunge and even travel down this road, but I needed to know. The guy I spoke to at Sydney PI explained everything to me really respectfully. I didn't feel in anyway judged and he gave me a few reasonably priced options for checking on my partners whereabouts when he wasn't with me. After only two surveillance sessions, I had my suspicions confirmed (with photographs) and as upsetting as it was to hear that he was completely abusing my trust, at least I could be 100% sure of my facts before taking him apart (verbally) and ending our relationship. I'm glad I found out when I did, I couldn't live with the not knowing any longer. Now I can move on happily. I have no hesitation recommending Sydney PI to anyone else who may be feeling like I was, they are professional, respectful and affordable. In saying that... I hope I'll never have to use them again!

Fantastic experience: I recently hired Sydney Private Investigations to find one of three sisters in the hopes of getting the sisters to release publishing rights to some historical materials. The price quoted was less than half of the other agency I talked to, and the price should they have not succeeded in locating one of the three was next to nothing. Anyway, they found one of the sisters, and made contact with her, telling her why I was trying to reach her, so she was expecting my call, which was great. They also provided a likely second sister's unconfirmed contact info. Quick, very friendly and down to earth, and reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed I was able to have a face to face meeting on the same day. I was given great advice and direction for what I needed to do for my situation which included several methods which I hadn't thought of. I ended up buying some surveillance equipment which enabled me to get an accurate picture of what was going on initially. They then organised surveillance interstate with little notice and after a couple days of surveillance I had all the information I needed for closure. I found them very easy to deal with, understanding and compassionate, patient and during the whole time everything was done cost effectively. They were focused on getting a result as quickly as possible. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a private investigator.
